Bread is one of the most common grocery items in every household. Bread often comes with a small plastic clip to hold the bag closed. If you’re like most families, you probably get at least a few loaves of bread every month. And that can add up to lots of bread clips!
Sure, you could just toss them in the trash or recycle bin, but where’s the fun in that? There are actually several great ways to reuse bread clips!
1. Organize Cords
Label bread clips and clip them onto the different cords for electronics. This is a great way to keep your home entertainment system and computer cords organized. Instead of having to follow cords to figure out what goes where, you can just read the labels on the bread clips.
2. Keep Earrings Together
Didn’t keep the cards for your earrings? No problem! Just bunch a couple of holes in a bread clip and put the earrings through the holes for storage. You won’t lose anymore earrings, and this tip will help keep your jewelry box organized!
3. Label Plants
Label bread clips with the type of plant and clip it to the edge of the pot or planter. This is a great way to keep track of garden plants at the beginning of the season.
4. Hold Earbuds
Don’t you hate it when your earbuds get all tangled? Next time, wrap them around your fingers and use a bread clip to hold the wires together. No more tangled or knotted earbuds!
5. Hold Hair Ties
Corral all of your hair ties by pushing them into the groove of a bread tie. You can hang the bread tie by uching a hole through it.
6. Keep Bags Closed
Not just bread bags either! You can actually use bread clips to keep almost any type of bag closed, including chip bags and frozen vegetable bags.
7. Decorate a Christmas Tree
Keeping lights and garlands in the right spot on a Christmas tree can be challenging. Use bread clips to hold lights and garlands to the branches, so they stay where they’re supposed to.
8. Find Tape End Easily
Finding the end of the tape on a roll can be pretty frustrating! Keep track of the end of the roll by placing a bread clip under the cut end of the tape.
9. Scrape Gunk
Those little hard plastic bread clips can also come in quite handy to scrape away gunk. You can use them to scrape away stuck on food when doing the dishes or scrape away sticker and label residue.
10. Fix Flip Flops
If the piece of plastic between your toes has pulled through the sole of your flip flop, you can use bread clips to fix them. Just push the plastic piece back through the sole of the flip flop and clip a bread clip around the plastic piece n the underside of the sole. The bread clip will prevent the plastic piece from pulling through the sole again, and it makes a great temporary fix for cheap flops!
