Wow! If you don’t follow the deals websites, then let me tell you that this is a great week for getting Procter and Gamble products at Walgreens. I am not going to go over the details because you can check them out here.
When I first learned about these deals, oh three weeks ago, I made sure to procure some of the great coupons needed to make money out of these. Through buying coupons and trading for them I ended up with 45 of the $2 Olay bar soap coupons. Potentially I would not only get the soap free but also make $88 in the process ($79 once you deduct the cost of the coupons). I decided to talk to the assistant manager at my local Walgreens store about preordering the bars of soap, because 45 packs are a lot of them and I didn’t want to clear out the shelves of the store.
Sunday gets here and it’s the start of this deal. I ask my husband what he thought if we should go first thing or in the evening when there would possibly be less people around. We decided to go first thing in the morning. We were the first and only people there and in less than 10 minutes the cashier had completed the 22 transactions I needed.
So, now I have 44 packs of soap or 88 bars and $88 worth of money off my next purchase in coupons that I need to use in the next two weeks. I have decided to use it to get non-perishable items that are a hit to our wallet when we buy them: paper towels, trash bags, laundry soap, diapers. After last week I don’t need toilet paper for a long time.
You are probably thinking what am I going to do with all of those bars of soap, considering that we don’t even use soap bars but body wash. Later this week I will show you what I have gathered for my local women’s shelter over the past five weeks by using coupons and getting these things for free. You will be amazed.
