Everyone likes a clean toilet, so I’m pretty sure most of you will be pretty excited about this giveaway!
Recently, the folks over at SC Johnson were nice enough to send me a Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Starter Kit and Caddy. This is a cool little toilet cleaning system that comes with different types of cleaning pads for different cleaning jobs.
The flushable pads are made from a softer material for everyday cleaning. These can be flushed down the toilet when you’re done, since they break up like toilet paper. The heavy duty pads, on the other hand, are way more – well, heavy duty. They remind me of a scrubbie pad, and trying to flush these is definitely not recommended. Both types of pads come with a blue cleaner right in the pad, so there’s no need to go out and buy a toilet cleaner.
The Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush system comes with a caddy to store all of the pads and long plastic handle as well. You simple slide the blue button on the handle forward, insert a pad on the end, and slide the button back to hold the pad in place. Then, just wet the pad a little in the toilet and scrub away!
But, how does it work…?
In short, it works great! I love this thing, and I probably won’t go back to the regular toilet brush and bowl cleaner.
The fact that you can simply flush or throw out the disposable pads when you’re done cleaning is the biggest advantage to this handy little gadget! It always kind of eeked me out a bit to have my used (Ick!) toilet brush sitting right there – even if it was in a holder.
It’s also super easy to use! With the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush system, all I have to do is open the lid to the caddy, grab a pad from the tray with the handle, and give the bowl a few swipes. When I’m done, I can just flush the pad or throw it away and give the handle a quick rinse.
The flushable pads also do a great job when it comes to light everyday cleaning. My toilet’s really not all that grimy (I swear!) but, I can see the heavy duty pads doing wonders on tough stains and grime!
