Here are a couple of transaction ideas to help you take advantage of the deals available at Rite Aid this week:
First Transaction
Buy two Gillette or Old Spice Body Wash, $2.99
Buy two Easter Single Serve Candy, $1
Use $1/2 Mars Easter Products (looks like no longer available) or Use $1/2 Mars Easter Products 4/10/2011 RP Insert (exp 4/24/2011)
Use B1G1 Gillette Body wash 4/3/2011 P&G Insert (exp 4/30/2011)
Pay $2.99 plus tax out of pocket and get back $4 in +UP Rewards
Second Transaction
Buy four John Frieda Root Awakening products $20
Use four $2/1 John Frieda Root Awakening Hair Care Product (will need access to two computers)
Use $4 in +UP rewards from transaction before
Pay $8 plus tax out of pocket and get back $10 in +UP Rewards to use in the future
With these scenarios at Rite Aid, you get $23.99 in goods for a net cost of just 99 cents! You spent $10.99 out of pocket but still have $10 in +UP rewards to use in the future.
As you probably have gathered, the way I create my scenarios is by minimizing my out of pocket expense on the first transaction as much as I can. On the first transaction, I usually buy any moneymaker deals or free items that have a low out of pocket expense. Then I use any of the rewards I get on that first transaction to buy any big ticket items I may be interested in buying on my second transaction and spend less out of pocket.
