More than two years ago we moved states so that we could move to a cheaper area of living (Philly is expensive! and Wisconsin is not so much). I had a 16 month old at the time and my job didn’t inspire me as much as spending the days with my son. So we decided that I would be a stay at home mom. However, living on one income is challenging when you still want to keep your same savings goals.
I knew that we needed to adjust our spending so that we could save for retirement, college education for our kids and still have enough for a comfortable living standard. Before I started this blog we were already living below our means, saving around 20% of our income. Since I have started this blog and particularly since I started using coupons, we have been able to increase our regular savings, retirement savings and now contribute regularly to our sons’ 529 plans.
We wouldn’t be able to do this if not for the inspiration my readers provide everyday. You push me to keep my brain working and be more resourceful with what we already have. You help me be a better steward of what I have been given. Thank you for reading my website regularly and thank you for taking the time to leave comments and send me emails. I appreciate each and every one of them.
Because you come here often, I think it is time you get to know me a little better. If you have a question you would like to ask me, leave me a comment here and I will try to answer it.
Thanks for your visit!
