Last year I wrote about my husband adding insulation to our house to make it more energy efficient. We live in Wisconsin and the winters can be brutal. But even if you don’t live in a cold climate it is always a good idea to make sure you take care of those energy leaks that are usually a drain to your pocket in the form of higher energy bills.
Last year I helped my husband by attending a Home Depot Do It Herself Workshop. Part of the incentive for attending was a money saving coupon that we used to get a discount on the insulation we purchased. I noticed that this year Home Depot is having another Do it Herself workshop. This one is precisely to help you save money on your energy bill. Projects include teaching how to caulk windows, weatherize doors and seal gaps on your walls.
You know, sometimes our husbands get too busy with their own to-do list. It’s always a great idea to learn Do It Yourself skills. Check out here if there’s a participating Home Depot near you conducting a Do It Herself Clinic. I addition to learning new skills you will be getting a coupon to help you save money on your materials.
