For a lot of people, “Googling” things is just second nature these days. Google seems to be the default, go-to search engine for anyone looking for something on the Internet. It’s everywhere.
I, for one, don’t really care for Google myself. I think it’s obtrusive, unattractive, and slow. Since their last algorithm change, it also seems that I just don’t get the search results I want anymore. Maybe it’s just me, though.
Anyway, I started using Bing every now and then, and except for a few searches here and there, it’s pretty much become my primary search engine. Since I use Bing a lot, I recently signed up for their rewards program as well.
You can sign up for Bing Rewards with a Facebook or Microsoft account. Through Bing Rewards, you can earn points for searching the web, trying new features, and learning tips and tricks to help you find what you’re looking for. You can then turn your points in for gift cards, ecoupons, sweepstakes entries, and RedBox rentals. You can earn up to 15 points each day just for searching, which isn’t as much as you can earn with Swagbucks, but let’s face it – Swagbucks just doesn’t measure up sometimes as a search engine.
Another feature that I love about Bing is the search history, which you can find at the top of your main search page. The history will give you a list of all the searches that you’ve done in the past as well as the webpages that you’ve visited. It’s certainly a lot prettier and easier to use than your browser’s history!
I highly recommend giving Bing Rewards a try. Just sign up, and start searching. I even earned points when I first signed up.
