Last year I started looking for some good and easy chapter books we could read together as a family each night before bed. Which got me thinking, we love watching movies as a family so why no pair the two together! We will read the book together then once we are done, we can watch the movie! I am happy to report this has been working well for our family for almost a year now!
There have been some great ones we have really enjoyed, and it has been fun to point out the difference between the two. It has really helped my reader who has needed a little extra help in the retell category as well as helped my preschooler pick up some new reading skills as well. So honestly, it has been a win all around. Here are some of the titles we have read the book and watched the movie to, plus some on our wish list that we are hoping to get to soon.
