How many of you have a bicycle in your Christmas shopping list? Probably quite a few. I remember asking Santa for a bike. I am glad I didn’t get to see my dad putting it together though. He was not all that handy. So I bet he struggled a bit.

Any bike you order from them comes FULLY assembled. Just get it out of the HUGE and it is ready for riding. I mean it, this box is HUGE! Another great thing about Performance Bikes is that they come with the Kids Bike Growth Guarantee. With this guarantee you get a discount on new bike when your kid outgrows his or her’s current one.

I was 6 when I learned how to ride without training wheels. I’d love to win this bike for my son who is almost 6. He is outgrowing his current bike and riding it has helped to stretch his achilles/calf/hamstrings on both legs….he has toe-walked since he was a year old and wears corrective leg braces at nights to put the legs in a permanent stretch while he sleeps. Bicycling has helped with stretching his legs but keeping it fun at the same time.

I was either about 5 or 6 when I learned to ride a bike. I can remember my dad running next to me holding on to the back. I remember going past about 4 houses and tell him he could let go and he didn’t respond. I replied louder that he could let go and he replied with “I did. About two houses ago”. Of course, I turned around to see and began to wobble and ended up falling off my bike. But I got right back on and tried again.

I was five when i learned to ride a bike..I remember my cousin who at the time was 7 and woud ride around telling me I was to little to learn and she would ride around in front of me. So me being the stubborn girl I thought I am going to show her!! I had a few banged up knees but was very determined! =) So when i finally got the hang of it (with my dads help of course) I rode it in front of her house with the biggest smile on my face. We tease each other to this day over that.

I was probably 6. I know that I got caught in the tail end of a hurricane and wouldn’t leave my bike at school to get a ride home. The milkman took me and the bike home.

Well, my first bike didn’t look like this one. It was the new version of what we called the “bus.” Silver and turquoise blue. Adult-sized and I was 6 or 7. I remember my first time out….I almost lost control because I couldn’t sit on the seat and ride and I almost ended up out in the street. The only thing that stopped me was I jumped off the seat to use my feet for brakes….OUCH….I hit the middle bar…so painful! But I got back on and tried again and again until I mastered that “bus!” Good luck to everyone!
