I have very exciting news to share with you guys. I am going to my first social media conference this weekend! I am flying down to Austin, TX to attend South by Southwest. Not only am I excited about attending this conference but also because this will means I will finally get to meet most of the other Elevenmoms.
I have been giving the opportunity to attend this event thanks to the sponsorship from Walmart and Colgate-Palmolive. I grew up using Colgate-Palmolive products (think Colgate toothpaste, toothbrushes, Softsoap, Irish Spring, Lady Speedstick and many other products). So I was very honored when they agreed to sponsor my trip to South by Southwest. This conference promises a lot of activities and parties. It seems it is one of the biggest social media events of the year as it involved media, music and film.
As excited as I am, I am also very worried. This is the first time I leave my two kids and my husband alone for three nights!! I will be honest, I am really worried. However, my husband assures me there’s nothing to be worried about (easier said…). I am leaving them behind with fridge and freezer stocked with food.
I will be gone Friday to Monday but don’t expect anything to slow down around here. The coupon matches for the Drug stores will be going live on their regular schedule. I also expect to be updating live from SXSW, so come back to share this with me.
