I usually stock up on meat when it goes on sale at my grocery store. Last week the grocery store where I bought the last time recalled an earlier batch of ground beef due to E. Coli. Now there’s a wider recall on beef, sold by Topps Meat Co.; one of the largest in U.S. history.
This is quite problematic because I know a lot of people who buy on sale may repackage into smaller sizes, and what if you got rid of your receipt? You can’t bring the meat back unless in the original container without the receipt. So, is a loss to the costumer.
Meanwhile I intend on cooking my ground beef thoroughly and keep all meat purchases receipts for a while, just in case. I urge you to consider doing the same.
