This morning I visited our local Target because they have their Halloween items 50% off. I was specifically looking for the little playdoh tubs for my toddler. There wasn’t any to be had. But the store still had lots of Halloween costumes, candy, pretty fall wreaths and other decorative items. I walked away empty handed. It was a little hard, but I had gone in with a plan. All I wanted was the playdoh and there wasn’t any. So it was easy to just leave.
However, there have been many other times I have walked in a store with a list of things I need and ended up walking away with items I didn’t need just because they were on sale. I constantly need to remind myself that the best way to save money is not to spend any at all.
