Are you addicted to Pinterest? Perhaps you are wanting to spruce up your home for the cooler months ahead. Whatever the reason you can save money on paint all year round!
If you are anything like me the Pinterest projects are slowly beginning to pile up! I love having a small stockpile of paint on hand for those “ah-ha” moments! However, paint can be expensive and for Pinterest projects we often don’t need much so there’s no need to spend big bucks on paint. That’s where the paint samples come into play. You can pick from a variety of colors and spend less than $5 for paint samples. Now that’s my type of deal!
Sample paints are also good for figuring out if that dramatic paint color you’ve been dreaming about is going to look right on your walls. To save money on paint on the bold choices purchase a sample size in a few shades and brush on the wall. Allow to dry and take a look at the colors in different light. This will save ya at least $25 and allow you to have small jars of paint for those smaller projects.
When you are shopping in Walmart, Home Depot or Lowe’s stores be sure to check out the mark down paint section. If you aren’t able to successfully locate this part of the store be sure to ask someone in the paint department…they are often hidden! You will be able to often save 50% off gallon paint (if not more!) for your home and projects by purchasing marked down paint. Keep in mind there is nothing wrong with the paint, it was simply returned because the original customer didn’t like the paint color and returned for another shade. If you are looking for a shade lighter have a few drops of white added to the color. In the instance you’d like the discounted paint darker consider adding a couple of drops of black.
Have you recently moved? If so, be sure to fill out the Lowe’s Coupon form. You’ll receive a coupon to your inbox and be able to save 10% off your purchase! This coupon is also valid at Home Depot stores as they accept competitor coupons. In the instance you are needing to save on a lot of paint, this is the way to go!
Also, if you have a Ace Hardware store keep an eye out for free paint offers that are often announced on the Ace Hardware Facebook page. These free paint offers are typically on Saturday’s and on the Clark + Kensington brand.
You can also keep an eye out on Coupons.com for printable coupons. Like this brand new coupon for 25% off Paints & Stains, 15% off Painting Supplies. I’ll be sure to keep you up to date as these offers become available!
Lastly, if you are a military member you save 10% off all purchases at Lowe’s. Take advantage of this when purchasing paint for your entire house!
