If your kitchen cupboards need some new hinges, you probably know how expensive they can be. I just replaced the hinges in my kitchen with some great self-closing ones, though, and I only paid a little over a buck a piece for them. I love them, and they work great!
I found the exact same ones on Amazon today for $.96 each! Here they are:
Aren’t they perty? These are Amerock self-closing oil rubbed bronze overlay hinges. These are listed at $11.23 for a pack of ten, but the price will drop to $9.55 when you clip the 15% off coupon, making your final price around $.96 per hinge. The description does say inset, but if you look closely at the picture, these are actually overlay hinges. One commenter even pointed this out. You’ll need overlay hinges if your cabinet door rests outside of your cupboard.
You can also get Amerock self-closing oil rubbed bronze 3/8-Inch inset hinges…
These are listed at $13.84 for a 10 pack, but the price will drop to $11.76 when you clip the 15% off coupon, making the price per hinge just $1.18. You’ll need 3/8 inch inset hinges if part of your cupboard door recesses 3/8 of an inch into your cupboard.
Make sure you order the right type of hinges for your cupboard doors! Here’s a terrible little illustration that I whipped up to make you scratch your heads help you figure out what types of doors you have:
