As with anything else lately, it seems I have been waiting until the last minute to get around doing this. Yesterday I told my husband about it and since he has been recovering from his surgery, and not on the computer at all, he didn’t know what I was talking about.
I told him I didn’t know much about it (because I don’t), but it seems you are supposed to get a “free $25” for signing up with this new service that it’s very similar to Paypal. Being the son of a lawyer, he quickly said he needed “to check it out” before I could sign up.
How appropriate and right on time, was I directed by Meredith to Cathy’s blog. Cathy took the time to read the fine print in the contract you sign and compare it to that of Paypal’s to find some interesting facts. I just wanted to continue spreading the word about this.
So, if you have or are thinking of joining RME be sure to read the fine print carefully. I will be honest and admit that TONS of times I have signed up for things and checked the little box where it says if I had read the proper disclosures without actually haven’t done so. I usually do it when the information I have shared is maybe my email and address. But I am a little better when it comes to sharing our SSN and banking information.
